An introductory cooking class for children ages K-5th Grade.

Learn basic cooking skills and techniques. Shop the Farmers Market and learn about the uses of fresh produce to make a vegetarian and nut-free themed recipe children can take home with them!


RECIPES

CARROT APPLE MUFFINS

Ingredients: Apple, carrot, flour, baking soda, salt, eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, oil, vanilla

Directions: Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes


MINI FRITTATAS

Ingredients: fresh spinach, ricotta cheese, sour cream, grated parmesan, milk, melting cheese, parsley, eggs

Directions: Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes


CHEESY GARDEN BAKE

Ingredients: Zucchini, tomato, onion, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, bisquick mix, milk, eggs, salt

Directions: Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes


FARMERS MARKET PIZZA

Ingredients: Fleischmann's pizza crust yeast, flour, water, oil, sugar, salt, sauce, cheese, fresh vegetables from the farmers market

Directions: Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes


WINTER SQUASH CINNAMON BARS

Ingredients: Winter squash, egg, cinnamon, brown sugar, flour, vanilla, baking soda, butter

Directions: Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes

APPLE ENCHILADAS

Ingredients: Apple pie filling or slices, flour tortilla, cinnamon, white sugar, brown sugar, margarine

Directions: Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes


Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip

Ingredients: Spinach, artichoke hearts, mayo or sour cream, parmesan cheese, shredded cheese, red bell pepper

Directions: Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes


Homemade Fruit Filled Crepes

Ingredients: Strawberries, granulated sugar, water, eggs, butter, diced pear, flour, salt, milk, powdered sugar, chocolate morsels

Directions: Cook crepe, add fruit, decorate
